Brianna's caterpillar has sprouted wings! After about a month of eating leaves, "Kyle" the caterpillar formed a cocoon and then one magic day, sprouted wings. After some time to let its wings dry, we had the grand butterfly release. Brianna, Frank, and the neighbors sent Kyle on his (her) way to cross pollinate, twitterpeat, and enjoy a sweet but ever so short a life. |
| Frank and Valerie enjoyed a whirlwind trip mid-August to see Valerie's Aunt Brit (and her husband Tom, mother-in-law and family dog, Sasha) in Brunswick, Georgia. On the way, a stop in Jacksonville seemed like a stroll down memory lane as Valerie lived there 1987-1990. | |

| There was little "labor" to be done on the recent Labor Day extended weekend. The Mardle clan, along with Val's mom and sister headed to the sandy shores of St. Petersburg beach. We enjoyed a relaxing time on the beach, fruity drinks with umbrellas, fireworks, and slathering one another with sunscreen. As a postcard might read..."Wish You Were Here." | |
