Welcome to the Mardle home!  We now have a dog (Penny), a cat (Haley) and a rat (ok, it's a gerbil named Coconut).  Brianna is here entertaining the "rat."  Coconut enjoys his playtime out of the cage.  While in the cage, we've found that he loves to chew paper plates.  It's the little things that count huh?  Haley has adapted to the new dog and they have been found sleeping together to show their new found respect for one another.  Penny is a "pound dog" adopted at 15 weeks.  She's now over 20 lbs., slobbering and chewing like a puppy should be.  In addition to upkeeping the zoo, Brianna has started soccer and is still on the A-B Honor Roll.
PLAY BALL!  What a great Sunday afternoon outing....baseball.  Valerie, Brianna and friends enjoyed a wonderful time at a recent spring training game with the Atlanta Braves.  A great time was had by all and the Braves won.  Nachos were $5, Tickets $16, Seventh Inning stretch with the family....Priceless!  Valerie is still hoping that Greg Maddox will call her to be his statistician one of these days but in the meantime, enjoying a great time in the stands with family will do.
Frank and Brianna down on the farm?  No, it's chaperone Frank with a group of one hundred...yes ONE HUNDRED kids ages 10-11.  It was said the day after by Brianna's classmates that "Frank is the coolest."  Sleeping in bunks, roasting marshmallows, having pillow fights and telling ghost stories....ahhhh, makes you want to sign up for camp again.  At camp, Brianna and her classmates learned how to start fires, make shelters, and toilet paper the teacher's cars.  All the important necessities of life huh?  Frank learned that chaperoning means "put the difficult kids with him, he can deal with them."
